The Cave is a darkened projection space which accommodates one of the permanent Gallery exhibits, 'Animo' by Barcelona based artists Utani.
Working within a very restricted budget, and tight physical constraints, Flannery and de la Pole designed a blackout fabric roof tensioned between a sinuously curved ring beam.
Several of the permanent Gallery exhibits relied upon close collaboration between Flannery and de la Pole, Ben Kelly the exhibition designer, and Kevan Shaw the lighting designer.
