The Public Building is a major new mixed use community arts centre. It aims to promote the regeneration of West Bromwich, and the surrounding community of Sandwell, by accommodating a wide variety of creative activities.
The project was originally conceived in 1997 by Alsop Architects. Flannery and de la Pole have been architects for the project since November 2004, at which stage the building was an empty shell.
